St. Dunstan’s Basilica, Charlottetown, is a National Historic Site of Canada. It is an example of High Victorian Gothic Revival architecture. It’s spires with their crosses make it one of the most visible and recognizable landmarks in the city. These, as well as the symmetry, details, and natural materials, inspired me to create this watercolour and ink painting. Numerous sketches, photos, and trials with colour were required.
