“The art of painting has been a quiet love of mine since childhood. After the rich experience of raising a family and the completion of a fulfilling career, I began to dedicate time toward the study of art and the creation of my own artwork.
Born and raised in Prince Edward Island, Canada, I was highly aware of both rural and coastal colours and the impact of the changing seasons. I am inspired by the quaintness of subject matter, as well as the “surf and turf” scenery that surrounds me. With the mediums of watercolour, acrylics, ink, and mixed media, I love to decode colour, analyze light and shade, and study detail. Although I have been in awe of the beautiful scenery in other countries, my painting brush often brings me back to my early years of inspiration.”
