I read recently that large rocks that are located away from the shoreline offer an opportunity to break the pressure of pounding waves before they hit the land bank, thus reducing erosion. This creates incredible splash, spray, and crashing sounds, all of which demands attention! I hope that this painting expresses my respect for both the rocks’ efforts and the ocean waves’ determination.
